Haiku #30: Sabbath
February 20, 2011
I feel a stillness
on Sundays that is absent
all the other days.

It is a lightness,
a rejuvenation of
spirit. Utter calm.

I am grateful for
the hubbub of other days,
but today, I rest.

Enjoy it while it lasts. When you have kids, you have to wrestle with them (at church and all day), so that utter calm thing doesn't really happen anymore.

Pretty picture.
