Do you ever come across an amazing food that needs to be shared with the world? I had one such discovery today that needs to be broadcast to all the people that eat food across the Blogosphere.

To begin my story, I have to pose the question: has anyone else been craving chicken nuggets and diet Coke HARDXCORE ever since the Olympics started? When every other commercial aired is attractive Nordic skiers eating delicious Mac-diddy's nuggets or shiny silver cans of non-fattening Coke with big happy hearts on them, how can I even think about anything else?

Anyway, this story begins with one such commercial. I had seen about 7,000 of these nugget commercials in the past week, so I decided that today was going to be the day that I made the 15 minute walk west of campus to the McDonald's in order to satisfy my need for the golden "pieces of heaven" (the display outside the restaurant in question identifies them as such). However, I also only had a very small window of time between classes during which I did have to get some homework done. Deciding that academic success was of more importance than stuffing my face with McAwesome, I pulled a psychological trick on myself.

One of the most direct routes off campus to the street McDelicious is on is through the basement of the Tanner Building. Because there's a deli in the basement called The Blue Line which has a general delicious assortment of food to put in my mouth, I figured that I'd look at what the specials of the day were, just out of curiosity. If none of them piqued my interest, I'd continue on toward chickeny Nirvana. However, should anything catch my eye...

I was quasi-delighted to see that Thursday is enchilada day at The Blue Line. I'd gotten them before and remembered being relatively pleased. However, I also noticed that the quesadilla bar was also an option. Curious to see what was afoot, I watched as the guy in front of me ordered a quesadilla. Here's the rundown: you get a base of a wheat tortilla with three cheeses. That's like $3. From there, you can add chicken, beef, or rice for an additional 75¢ (I opted for chicken and rice). You can also get green/red peppers, tomatoes, olives, sour cream, and guacamole stuffed inside for 30¢ a pop (I asked for green peppers, tomatoes, sour cream, and guac). After a quick run through that toasting conveyor belt thing, it was melted, toasty, and ready for my face.

True story: this thing was the best quesadilla I've ever had in my life--and this is after getting free quesadillas whenever I wanted for two summers at Chipotle. Rarely do I get to enjoy the experience of having a mouth full of quesadilla, since the standard quesadilla is pretty thin. It was straight up thebomb.com.

That being said, if you live in Provo and want a sweet action Thursday lunch that promises to please, check out The Blue Line. If you're not, cry about it, it'll help you sleep at night.

Aside from this discovery of the week, I'm doing well. I got a book review published in the student journal I volunteer for, the play(s) I'm in opens next week (one night only!), and I'm looking forward to a weekend of excellence. I'm going to a Harry Potter themed Preference Dance with my friend Joe's-Way tomorrow night, then watching Om Shanti Om with Grandma and some friends on Saturday. In the event of my feeling like it, I may or may not take pictures of myself as Professor Trelawny.

Happy Thursday! Eat a quesadilla--but only if it's a good one!
